Druk path trek is a most popular trek in Bhutan which starts up from Paro & ends in Thimpu valley or vice-versa. It's a moderate trek & can be possible to do within 7 days.

Arrival on:Kathmandu, Nepal

Day 1: Arrival at Paro (2,250 m)

Activities:

  • Flight into Paro, Bhutan's national carrier Druk Air
  • Stunning views of the world’s highest peaks to lush green Paro valley

Day 2: Drive to Ta Dzong & trek to Jili Dzong

Activities:

  • Drive to Ta Dzong (National Museum) in Paro
  • Pass through  gravel trail & farmlands
  • Accompanied by beautiful pine forests to Damche Gom

Day 3: Trek to Jangchulakha

Activities:

  • Steep uphill climb
  • Walk through dense woods, alpine species of trees and dwarf rhododendrons trees.
  • Witness summer yak herders camps and the Himalayan views

Day 4: Trek to Jimgelang Tsho

Activities:

  • The promising sight of Himalayan peaks
  • Exceptional view of the valley
  • On reaching the campsite, visit Jimgelang Tsho Lake

Day 5: Trek to Simkotra Tsho

Activities:

  • Trek through low alpine region, along with dwarf rhododendron trees
  • Cross beautiful glacial lake, Janetso Lake
  • witness few yak herder camps

Day 6: Trek to Phajoding

Activities:

  • Gentle uphill climb
  • View of Mount Gangkar Puensum, the highest mountain in Bhutan
  • Visit Phajoding Monastery.

Day 7: Trek to Mothitang

Activities:

  • Hike downhill through the beautiful blue pinewood
  • Reach Mothitang & drive to Thimpu
  • Visit the Handicrafts Emporium- Bhutanese handicrafts

Meals Provided: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Accommodation: Tea house

 

Day 8: Early morning drive to Paro

Activities:

  • Early morning drive to paro
  • Hike up to hike up (or horse ride) to the Taktsang monastery (Tiger’s nest).
  • Visit Kyichu Lhahang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan

Elevation: 2,200m

Day 9: Depart Paro

Activities:

  • Transfer to airport
  • Scenic fly back to kathmandu
